Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice has been locked up since early 2016. But now, after three years in prison and six months in an ICE detention center, he might finally be going home to his wife and four daughters this week.

According to TMZ, Giudice has a bond hearing scheduled in a Pennsylvania immigration court on Wednesday morning, and he will request that the judge grant him bond so he can go home to New Jersey while he waits for a decision in his deportation case.

Giudice went to federal prison in March 2016 to serve his 41-month sentence for conspiracy to commit wire and bankruptcy fraud. But, as soon as he completed the required 36 months behind bars, the Federal Bureau of Prisons released him to ICE custody instead of letting him go home because an immigration judge ordered his deportation last October.

Juicy Joe has been fighting the deportation order with appeals since the judge issued it, and so far things haven’t gone well. The Attorney General’s office has argued for his immediate deportation, and Joe is waiting for the decision on his final appeal.

If he loses this time around, he will have to go back to his native Italy, where he hasn’t lived since he was a baby. In the meantime, Joe is begging the judge for the chance to go home to New Jersey on bond while he waits to find out his fate.

Not only does he desperately miss his wife Teresa and their daughters – Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana – but Joe is also tired of being locked up and having to endure the horrible conditions in the ICE detention center.

“What is happening to Joe Giudice and to his family and thousands of other families regarding these draconian immigration laws is nothing short of inhumane,” said family attorney James Leonard. “We are praying for some sort of relief tomorrow from the Court. This family has paid their debt to society and then some. Enough is enough.”

Insiders say that Teresa will be in the courtroom, and so will Joe’s extended family. However, Joe will be appearing via video from the Clinton County Correctional Facility.

If the judge rules in favor of the Attorney General’s Office, Joe will have to sit in the detention center until he finds out the ruling on his final appeal. If he is granted bond, he will be able to go home almost immediately.
