On Wednesday, he revealed that when he returned home after his father's funeral he found an “incredible” gift from a famous chef.

Cardiac surgeon and host of "The Dr. Oz Show," Dr. Mehmet Oz, 58, shared on a Twitter post that celebrity Chef Rachel Ray had left him a special gift. Oz posted an image of himself enjoying the present.

The doctor wrote:

“I returned home for the first time since burying my dad and found many thoughtful expressions of sympathy — including an incredible assortment of food from @rachaelray. Thank you for the [red heart emoji]”

Ray's meal variety pack included roast chicken, containers filled with green olives, a box of pastries, fresh mozzarella cheese, and vegetable side dishes. Oz returned home on Tuesday after burying his father.

The famous television host and doctor received a throng of condolences and kind thoughts from friends and family. On social media, the doctor took the time to thank his friends, family, and followers for their "expressions of sympathy."

Oz’s father was 93-year old when he passed away. The day after his passing, the television host shared another photo of his father where he was seen smiling while bundled up in a jacket and scarf.

Oz captioned the post:

"Dad, we are all the shoulder of the serpentine obstacle course that you weathered for over 93 years so you take the straight and wide boulevard to heaven that you earned for every minute of your hard-fought life. Enjoy the sweet journey while we earn your respect by fighting the battles that mattered to you."

Oz's daughter, Daphne Oz, also mourned the death of her grandfather on social media. She shared a black-and-white throwback photo of her grandparents with her father as a baby calling her grandfather "a brilliant surgeon, filled with the most relentless work ethic and pursuit of perfection."

“He loved to tell the story of when he came to America after completing medical school as a lifelong scholarship student in Turkey and his mother told the pilot to ‘fly slow and low to the ground!' He was funny, fearless, tough, and the best bazaar bargainer. We will miss you, Buyuk Baba."
